Join us at Butchers' Hall for our February Court Lunch when the guest speaker will be Liveryman Paul Martinelli C.C., Treasurer of the Smithfield Market Tenants Association and Managing Director of P J Martinelli Ltd.

Following the recent announcement of Smithfield Market Expected Closure after 2028, we look forward to hearing from our guest speaker. He will provide an overview of both the past and future of the EC1 Smithfield area, offering some insights into the future of the Market trade. 

As an elected Common Councillor in the City of London, Paul serves as Deputy for the Ward of Farringdon Without.

He is also a Governor of the London Museum (Currently Europe’s largest Cultural development Project) opening in Smithfield in 2026. 

Paul is passionate about the history of the Smithfield area as well as the Market itself and looks forward to the incredible opportunities that lie ahead.

He is Chair of the City Bridge Foundation, London’s largest independent grant funder.

The price of the lunch is £105 per person, inc VAT which includes drinks reception, a three-course lunch with wine, and a Stirrup Cup.
