We are thrilled to announce that our Venue Management partners, Bovingdons, won the Employer of the Year category in the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence award this week at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
This elite business awards programme, for businesses of all shapes and sizes, encapsulates small and medium business across every sector in the UK. Attracting wide interest and hundreds of nominations from differing organisations it’s probably the largest and most comprehensive business awards programme in the country.
With criteria based on diversity, inclusion, culture, training and progression, judges looked for evidence of how employees are engaged in company values and how HR is optimised to achieve and sustain the commercial operation. They also looked at investment in people, initiatives to create a more collaborative culture, and the impact this has had on commercial performance.
Bovingdons is truly a family with a commitment to growth and achievement
In accepting the award, Theo Wieder said “This is a huge honour for Bovingdons, the pandemic has been enormously challenging and this recognition for our hard work and culture is very much appreciated. Bovingdons is truly a family with a commitment to growth and achievement. A very special group of people dedicated to making a better environment and better product each and every day.”
In offering her congratulations, Master Margaret Boanas said “I’m thrilled that Bovingdons has been recognised in this way. It’s very clear that the attributes recognised by the judges have been put into practice, especially in the way that Bovingdons have established themselves in Butchers’ Hall and represented it as a top class venue”.
