Joie de Vivre, Friday 18 October

The evening unfolded with the charm and sophistication of Provence, beginning with a champagne reception that set the tone for elegance. Guests were welcomed into a beautifully adorned space, where the delicate scent of lavender and rosemary filled the air. Sort lighting and flickering candles illuminated the stairs up to The Great Hall where the tables were set with white candelabras for the candlelit dinner. The atmosphere was one of warmth and an understated energy. The menu crafted with fresh ingredients, showcased the vibrant flavours of Provençal cuisine. Accompanied by French wines, each dish was a celebration of regional delicacies, not to mention du fromage, and the beautiful dessert La Tarte Tropezienne, also known as La tarte de Saint-Tropez.

Enhancing the authenticity of the evening , Stephanie, the French Singer, strolled between the tables accompanied by her partner serenading guests with classic chansons. Creating a romantic, intimate atmosphere as she performed songs like “La Vie en Rose etc.

The evening was a perfect blend of gastronomy, music and ambiance, making it not just a dinner but an immersive experience in Provençal culture. Thoroughly enjoyed by all, and a beautiful way to showcase Butchers Hall.

Included in the ticket price was entry into The Big Raffle. A very happy guest, Mr Clive Dickson, won a three-night stay for 2 in the romantic city of Nice, Côte D'azur.
